Having picked you up from your hotel in Tilcara at the scheduled time, we'll head to the town of Iruya. Our minibus journey will take around three hours.
During the road trip, we'll learn about how residents long ago would harvest their own food in terraced fields and make the most of the water that flowed down the slopes of the mountains. You'll absolutely fall in love with the scenery as we drive.
Once we arrive in Iruya, we'll take a guided tour of the town so we can learn more about its history and most symbolic places. We'll see the church, stroll down the cobbled streets, and head to the central square. In addition, we'll go to a viewpoint from which we'll be able to see the unique location of this town. You'll be able to take incredible photos of the town, which looks as if it were hanging from the mountains.
Before heading back, we'll leave you 1 hour of free time to stroll around a bit more and eat some lunch if you wish. Finally, we'll drive back and drop you off at your hotel in Tilcara about 10 hours later.
