Tijuana Private Day Trips

If you're spending a few days in the border city of Tijuana and you'd like to explore more of Baja California, one of our private day trips is perfect for you! Both activities start at 9 am and include hotel pick up, transport by minibus and an English-speaking guide.

Tecate Day Trip (8 hours)

Having picked you up from your hotel, we'll set off for the town of Tecate. When we get there, we'll admire incredible panoramic views of this Magic Town. We'll then visit the desert area of La Rumorosa as we travel along its famous winding road and look out at the unique rock formations that have been sculpted by wind erosion.

Next, we'll go to a traditional bakery to sample some bread baked in a brick oven and then visit the El Vallecito Archaeological Zone. This site is made up of 23 paintings and petroglyphs located in a cave belonging to the Yumanes.

Depending on availability, we'll head to either Camp Alaska or the Kumiai Community Museum to learn more about Tecate and its past. You'll then have 1 hour of free time for lunch before we return to Tijuana.

Guadalupe Valley Wine Tour (9 hours)

On this activity, we'll visit one of the most important wine regions in Mexico: the Guadalupe Valley. During the day trip, we'll meet three families that cultivate the vineyards. These families will tell us all about their tasks, from the vineyard to the bottling process.

In each of the estates, we'll attend a wine tasting. You'll try whites, chardonnay, clombard and merlot and discover which is your favourite as you go through the visual, olfactory and taste phase of the tasting.

Before we head back to Tijuana, you'll have 1 hour of free time in Puerto Nuevo for lunch.

Vineyards

The vineyards visited during the Guadalupe Valley wine tour may change according to availability. Some of them are Baron Balché, Cetto, Casa Magoni, Santo Tomás, Viñedos de la Reina or Pedro Domecq

Advantages of a private day trip
