On this tour, we'll see all of Iceland's natural beauty. First, you'll snorkel in the Silfra Fissure then head to the Thingvellir National Park to have a chance of seeing the Northern Lights.
Silfra Snorkeling & Northern Lights Tour
At the agreed time we'll meet at Thingvellir National Park. Once there, you'll make your own way to the Silfra Fissure, following the guide in your car. After we arrive, we'll get equipped with all the necessary gear and dive into the waters of Silfra for the first activity of the day. The Silfra fissure is one the most remarkable places in the world for snorkelling due to its crystal clear waters- perfect for exploring the canyon that separates the tectonic plates of North America and Eurasia.
During the snorkelling experience, which will last 35 minutes, you'll be able to see the wildlife of the area and discover Silfra Hall the widest section of the fissure. Then you'll swim onto the Silfra Cathedral, an incredible section of the rift. The final section you'll be able to explore is the shallowest area, the Blue Lagoon.
Once out of the water, we'll recharge our batteries with a hot chocolate and a snack. After warming ourselves up, you'll return to your car and make your own way to the next stop on the tour - the base camp where we'll hope to see the magnificent Northern Lights.
Here we'll start our walk through Thingvellir National Park with our eyes fixed on the sky we'll wait for the Northern Lights to appear. The aurora borealis is one of the most fascinating natural phenomena in the world!
After enjoying the Northern Lights in Iceland, we'll end the tour.
