At the indicated time we'll meet at Avenida Cinema to start this free tour of Tetouan. Let's walk through the Medina of this beautiful city!
From there we'll walk to Feddan Square, from where we'll walk through the small side streets that house the Andalusian houses of the old nobility in Tetuan. We'll then continue our tour exploring this maze of streets, discovering hidden corners full of charm. Here we'll have an authentic experience of everyday life for the locals.
The next stop will take us to the Jarazin, the craftsman neighbourhood, where you'll have 15 minutes to explore around and take photos of the views of Tetouan. Then we'll head inside a leather workshop from the 15th century. There you'll be able to witness the great work that these craftsmen carry out with hides and leathers, as well as explore the captivating bazars. Will you be able to resist buying yourself a souvenir?
We'll then continue our free tour around the side streets of Tetuan until we arrive at the famous Tarrafin, the 'Street of Gold'. We'll cross to the other pier, Bab Ruah, and explore the old Jewish neighbourhood of Mellah, immersing ourselves in the area's rich history and culture.
To end this tour, we'll return through the Ensanche Español, where we'll discover the Spanish library, the Cervantes Institute, or the food market. In addition, we'll also see many other historical buildings where you'll be told about other interesting stories of this time period.
2.5 hours later, we'll put an end to this free tour of Tetuan.
