Santiago del Estero Tour
Santiago del Estero Tour
We'll pick you up at the time of your choice at your hotel in Termas de Río Hondo and head for Santiago del Estero, the capital of the Argentinean province of the same name.
The first stop will be in front of the Estadio Único Madre de Ciudades. This impressive sports stadium, which opened in March 2021, is one of the most modern in Argentina. The name of the football field owes its origin to the city of Santiago del Estero itself, as it's considered the "mother" of other cities, being the place from which the Spaniards left to found other towns such as San Miguel de Tucumán, Salta or Córdoba.
We'll continue our tour of Santiago del Estero at Aguirre Park, one of the main green areas of the city. Then we'll head on over to the iconic Libertad Square. Here, we'll get out of the vehicle for a walk around the area. This is the most monumental area of the city, where we'll see the exterior of the Cathedral of Nuestra Señora del Carmen and the Bicentennial Cultural Centre.
After visiting the Plaza Libertad, we'll go to the Juan Felipe Ibarra complex. There we'll go up to the Mirador de las Torres: a spectacular panoramic viewpoint located on the 23rd floor of a modern skyscraper, the views from there will leave you speechless!
Finally, from the viewpoint we'll return to Termas de Río Hondo. Arrival at your hotel is scheduled five hours after pickup.
