3-Day Tour Serra da Capivara National Park

Day 1

We'll leave your accommodation in Teresina very early, to begin this 3-day tour around the Serra da Cavibara National Park. Ready? Our first stop will be at Sítio João Pimenta, where we'll arrive at around 12:30 pm.

Once there, you'll have the chance to admire the dense vegetation as well as the incredible rock formations in the park. This location also houses various cave sites, belonging to the communities who lived here in prehistoric times. Time to travel back in time!

After 6 hours of visiting these incredible locations, we'll make our way to our accommodation for the night. Until tomorrow!

Day 2

We'll have breakfast at 7 am and, an hour later we'll begin our moderately difficult hike around the park, of around 5 kilometres (3.1 miles). Some 4 hours later, we'll return to our accommodation to regain some energy until the evening time.

After getting some rest, we'll make a 2-hour visit to the Nature Museum. There, we'll learn about the geological evolution of planet Earth in 12 different rooms. In addition, it's also worth noting that this building was constructed on a very special site. You'll love it!

Finally, we'll return to our accommodation, where you'll have the rest of the evening to rest and relax.

Day 3

After breakfast, we'll head to the Museum of the American Man, where, over the course of 2 hours, we'll delve into the evolution of man from prehistoric times. As well as this, there we'll be able to see a number of pieces extracted from archaeological sites.

After our visit, we'll have lunch and at 2 pm we'll begin our journey back to Teresina, where we'll bring this 3-day tour to an end. We're expected to arrive back at around 8 pm.
