Teotihuacán Quad Tour
Tour Options
When booking, you'll have two different options to choose from. Both routes start at 9 am at the main entrance of the archaeological site of Teotihuacán and include an English-speaking guide and the rental of the quad.
2 Hour Tour
On this route, we'll ride around the surroundings of the archaeological site of Teotihuacán, admiring the Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon in the distance. Then, we'll attend a cocoa workshop where you'll learn about the importance of this product in the pre-Hispanic societies and the different properties of chocolate. As an added bonus, you'll even get to taste pulque, a traditional drink of this region.
Afterward, we'll get back on the quads and continue our trip to the entrance of the city's caves, a network of galleries and caverns that were used for funerary and fertility rites. We'll also learn about the ins and outs of the maguey plant on a tour of the cactus and agave plantations.
3 Hour Tour
This option will take us to the second largest structure of Teotihuacán: the Pyramid of the Moon. This sacred place, situated at the end of the Avenue of the Dead, dates all the way back to 100 AD. Have you ever imagined touring such an epic site on a quad bike?
We'll also attend a chocolate workshop, taste pulque and, after that, we'll go to the cave located beneath the Pyramid of the Sun. You'll get to visit this tunnel and see the flower-shaped chamber at the end, which is said to have special astronomical significance.
