Free Tour of Teotihuacan
Tour Details
We'll meet at the designated time at Emiliano Zapata Street, 2B and from here, we'll make our way to the archaeological site of Teotihuacan to begin a free walking tour of this ancient, pre-Columbian city.
Our first stop will be in front of the majestic Pyramid of the Moon, one of the most iconic monuments in Teotihuacan. From this point, we'll make our way to the Quetzalpapálotl Palace and the Patio de los Jaguares (Jaguar Courtyard), where we'll admire impressive murals depicting felines and other symbolic figures of the Teotihuacan culture. You'll be surprised!
Next, we'll go to Luna Square, the starting point of the famous Calzada de los Muertos (Road of the Dead). Here, you'll have the chance to take a photo with the impressive Pyramid of the Moon as your backdrop. We'll then walk along the Calzada de los Muertos until we reach the Puma Mural, an artwork that showcases the skill and symbolism of the ancient inhabitants of Teotihuacan. Afterwards, we'll visit the Pyramid of the Sun, where you'll be able to admire its grandiosity and learn all about its ceremonial and cultural significance.
After a total of 2 hours, this free tour will come to an end at the On-Site Museum. If you wish, you can continue exploring Teotihuacan at your own pace.
