Bethlehem & Jericho Day Trip
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Tel Aviv at around 7:15 pm, travelling in a comfortable minibus to the city of Jericho.
We will cross the Judean desert and pass by the Inn of the Good Samaritan to remember one of the most well-known parables of Jesus. We will reach Jericho, the oldest city in the world.
First, we will visit the sycamore tree that Zacchaeus climbed in the bible, to try to get a better look at Jesus. During the tour of Jericho, we will visit some of the real-life places behind the Biblical stories such as the one that tells the moment when Joshua marched around the walls, for them to fall and for Canaan to be conquered.
We will leave Jericho behind and pass through the Mount of Temptation, on the way to Bethlehem, our next destination. We will visit Manger Square, centre of Bethlehem, right next to the Basilica of the Nativity, where we'll visit the grotto that played host to the birth of Jesus.
To complete the visit to Bethlehem, we will stop at the church of Santa Catalina, whose caves hide ancient tombs and sanctuaries. We will leave Bethlehem through the Shepherds' Field, where we will finish our visit to Bethlehem.
The trip finishes at around 5:15 pm back at your hotel in Tel Aviv.
