Roque Nublo Hiking Tour
Roque Nublo Hiking Tour
At 10 am, we'll meet at the Roque Nublo parking lot, located only half an hour's drive from the center of Tejeda. We'll start a 6 km hiking tour that'll take us to explore the mountains of central Gran Canaria and discover one of the main icons of the island. Are you ready?
First, we'll start walking uphill as we enjoy the silence of nature and the incredible 360-degree views of the steep peaks of Gran Canaria. We'll get away from the most touristic trails and we'll go through unknown areas full of great beauty while we reach one of the highest points of the island - 1,813 meters!
During the Roque Nublo hike, we'll walk through Canary pine forests until we reach the viewpoint of this great volcanic rock, protected as a Biosphere Reserve. We'll explain how this natural landmark was formed and we'll review its historical importance as a place of worship for the indigenous people of Gran Canaria. Also, we'll be able to see the rocks of El Fraile and La Rana.
After an exciting hike full of amazing landscapes, we'll part ways at 2 pm at the starting point.
