Katskhi & Chiatura Private Tour
Katskhi & Chiatura Private Tour
At the time of your choice, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Tbilisi and set off on our private tour of the Georgia Caucasus.
Our first stop will be at Katshki Pillar, an impressive 40-metre-tall stone monolith that overlooks the Karshuna River Valley. The natural column is crowned by a medieval church built between the 8th and 10th centuries that was left unexplored until 1944 due to its challenging location.
The next stop will be Chiatura, a town nestled between beautiful valleys and gorges. When Georgia belonged to the USSR, Chiatura was an important mining centre where manganese was extracted. Today, the town still preserves aspects of its Soviet past, such as the 6000-metre-long cable car, which we'll ride up to see Chiatura in all its splendour.
After learning more about what the city was like during communism, we'll return to Tbilisi and drop you off at your hotel after a ten-hour tour.
