Tavira Tourist Train
The Tavira tourist train will take you on a 50-minute tour of the most important landmarks and attractions in this lovely Portuguese city.
Our train ride starts at Rua Jaques Pessoa. We'll then continue the tour and head to the fishing port to enjoy the views of the Algarve coast and visit the city's market. The next stop will be at the Vila Galé Hotel, after which we'll resume our tour ride to reach Gilão River, a perfect area for bird watching.
Have you visited the salt pans of Tavira? If you haven't, don't worry, we will also see this unique landscape from the train! Afterwards, we'll reach the city's old to visit the many monuments there, such as the Islamic Museum, the Nossa Senhora da Piedade Chapel, the Hermitage of Sao Roque, and the famous Tavira Castle, a medieval building surrounded by a beautiful garden.
We'll resume our train ride and tour more important spots in this charming city, like the Santa Maria do Castelo church, the Pousada do Convento da Graça, or the Santiago Bridge.
Lastly, we'll finish the train tour by returning to the starting point.

The Tavira tourist train departs daily at 10 am, 11 am, 12 am, 1 pm, 3 pm, 4 pm, 5 pm, and 6 pm.
