When making your reservation, you can choose from three different tour options. All provide an English-speaking guide and have the same starting point: Ria Formosa Avenue in Cabanas de Tavira. The options are as follows:
1-hour tour
Welcome aboard! For one hour we'll enjoy a pleasant cruise around the beautiful landscape of the Ria Formosa, considered one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Portugal.
We'll explore the different canals on this natural attraction in the Algarve and we'll make a 15 minute stop on Cabanas Island. You'll have the chance to stroll along its beaches and admire the wide variety of birds that fly over this area.
2-hour tour
Do you want a longer boat ride? Then this two-hour tour is the option for you. We'll also explore the Ria Formosa Natural Park but, instead of going to Cabanas, we'll make a 30-minute stop in the city of Tavira.
4-hour tour
On this four-hour tour around the islands of the Ria Formosa, you'll enjoy a unique experience cruising the island of Cabanas, the island of Tavira, and the beach of Terra Estreita, where you'll enjoy a 30-minute stop in case you feel like taking a swim into the Atlantic waters. Then we'll continue sailing through beds of oysters, clams, and cockles.
We'll also see the coastal village of Santa Luzia. Fun fact: did you know that it is considered the "capital of octopus"? The church of Nossa Senhora do Mar or the 17th-century fort of São João da Barra are some of the places of interest we'll be visiting during this very comprehensive boat tour!
