Samarkand Day Trip

At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Tashkent and head to the train station. Are you ready to kick off this exciting day trip to Samarkand? A day filled with exploration and marveling at the wonders of this legendary city awaits us.

Once we reach Samarkand, our guide will be waiting for us at the station. Get ready for a guided tour of the city of a thousand and one nights! Our first stop will be at the mausoleum of Gur Emir, a masterpiece of medieval Islamic architecture and the resting place of the Asian conqueror Tamerlane.

Our journey through Samarkand will lead us to Registan Square, the heart of the ancient city dating back to the Timurid dynasty. This vibrant square holds treasures like the Sher-Dor Madrasah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Ulugbek Madrasah. We'll also immerse ourselves in the architectural splendor of the Tillya Kori Madrasa, the final jewel in the Registan monumental ensemble.

Afterwards, we'll visit the awe-inspiring Bibi Khanym Mosque, once among the largest mosques in the Islamic world during the 15th century. Following this, we'll explore the Shah-i-Zinda necropolis, a fascinating complex of mausoleums dating back to the 14th and 15th centuries.

Then, it's time for a well-deserved break at a local restaurant, where you can indulge in a delicious Uzbek lunch. To wrap up our day, we'll head to Siyob Bazaar, also known as Siab Bazaar – did you know it's the largest bazaar in Samarkand? You'll have some free time here, perfect for picking up souvenirs or simply soaking in the vibrant atmosphere of this bustling market.

As our adventure in Samarkand comes to an end, we'll take you back to Samarkand station, where you'll catch a high-speed train back to Tashkent. Once you're back in the Uzbek capital, we'll ensure a seamless transfer to your hotel, concluding our journey after 12-14 hours of exploration.
