At the designated time, we'll meet at Via delle Cave Antiche and head on foot to Etruscopolis. Once we arrive at this underground museum of Tarquinia, we'll start exploring the different rooms and delve into the past of the Etruscan civilization.
Etruscopolis recreates an Etruscan city from the 4th century B.C. reproducing different objects, buildings, and scenes from daily life in this civilization. During the guided tour, you'll see decorated tombs, the rooms of various houses, clay vases, and much more. We'll also tell you all about the customs, beliefs, and conflicts that characterized the Etruscans, who lived alongside the Greeks and Romans.
Did you know that Tarquinia was one of the most important Etruscan settlements and that women played a fundamental role in the social sphere? As we walk through the different areas of the museum, we'll review fascinating fun-facts about this civilization.
