Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Plaza de Armas de Tarma and head north to the city of Oxapampa. On the way, we'll enjoy the breathtaking landscapes of the Chanchamayo Valley.
At some point along the way, we'll stop in La Merced, in the province of Chanchamayo, where we'll learn about the lives and history of indigenous peoples who live in this area of the central Peruvian jungle. We'll continue our tour by crossing the Kimiri suspension bridge and travelling to the village of San Luis de Shuaro.
After a short break, we'll visit several viewpoints to take in the stunning landscapes and capture some memorable photos. From there, we'll make our way to Oxapampa, a town established by Austrian and German immigrants during the 19th century.
We'll take a guided tour of this town, appreciating the fascinating blend of European and Andean cultures. We'll make a stop at the Parish of Santa Rosa and stroll through the Miraflores and Llamaquizu neighbourhoods, where we'll find the most typical houses of the Colonist's Walk.
Following the guided tour, we'll whisk you away to the Huarapo dairy cooperative, where we'll gain fascinating insights into cattle farming in this area. Then, it's your time to savour a delightful meal at a nearby restaurant.
To wrap up this 8-hour adventure, we'll return to Tarma's Plaza de Armas, leaving you with unforgettable memories of your journey
