Valle La Concepción Bodegas Tour
Valle La Concepción Bodegas Tour
At 8:30 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Tarija to start this route through the main bodegas of Valle La Concepción. A valley full of industrial, artisanal and boutique wineries awaits!
Heading south into the wine-growing area, we'll begin by stopping at the bodegas of El Potro and La Resolana, where we'll learn how they produce and treat their wines. Then, we'll move on to the Campos de Solana wineries, famous for their renowned high altitude wines. Fun fact: for wine to be considered 'high altitude,' the land where the grapes are grown must be more than 800 meters above sea level!
Next, we'll visit the Casa Real winery, known for its production of grape brandy, or singani. After learning all the peculiarities of this typical Bolivian liquor, we'll continue our tour through the valley by checking out Cañón de la Angostura, a popular canyon in the area.
Our next stop will be at the Casa Vieja winery, which produces some of Tarija's best-known wines. Here, we'll enjoy a tasting of different types of wines and artisanal cheese.
Then, we'll visit Bodega Las Duelas, where we'll learn the particularities of the wines of more than a dozen local producers. The perfect way to appreciate the great wine variety of Valle La Concepción!
After a six-hour tour, we'll return to your hotel in Tarija, arriving at 2:30 pm.
