At the agreed time, you'll be picked up at your hotel in Tarija. There, we'll board a comfortable minibus and set off to explore the prehistoric past of this Bolivian city and its surroundings.
First, we'll visit the Paleontological and Archaeological Museum of Tarija, located in the heart of the city. Here we'll discover the large mammals that inhabited this area of Bolivia more than 250,000 years ago, such as mastodons and glyptodonts.
Afterwards, we'll leave the center of the city to enter the famous Valley of the Giants. In this special place, we'll take a tour of the Rujero gullies, one of the most outstanding fossil sites in the area where we can also find the remains of some prehistoric animals. A true journey back in time!
Finally, we'll go to the Angostura canyon, an impressive landscape that gave rise to the fertile valley of Tarija.
We'll conclude the tour by taking you back to your hotel after approximately 4 hours of discovering the rich history of this beautiful city.
