Inca Trail of Tajzara Trekking Tour
Inca Trail of Tajzara Trekking Tour
At 6 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel to head to Tarija's central valley, which we'll cross to reach the Cordillera de Sama Biological Reserve.
While driving, we'll be able to admire the landscapes of the Sama mountain range, as well as the Bolivian highlands. We'll also pass through picturesque villages and spot the Andean fauna of the plateau from the vehicle!
Once we arrive, we'll start our trek along the historic Inca Trail that connects Tarija's central valley with the high plateau of Tajzara, located at 12,139 ft (3,700 meters) above sea level!
We'll cover about 15.5 miles (25 km) walking along the steep trails of the Inca Trail of Tajzara. Halfway through, we'll take a break to replenish our strength with a picnic lunch that includes a sandwich, fruit, and water.
Following lunch, we'll continue our hike. At the end of the trail, the bus will be waiting to take us back to Tarija, where we'll arrive back at the pickup point between 2 and 3 pm.
Pickup
The tour includes pickup from hotels in the center of Tarija. If your accommodation is outside this area, you'll have to go to the meeting point located on Bolivar street.
