Horseback Riding in San Lorenzo
Horseback Riding in San Lorenzo
At the time of your choice, we'll pick you up from your hotel to head towards the province of Mendez, northwest of Tarija.
Before reaching our destination, we'll pass through the town of San Lorenzo, the capital of the province. This village is known for having been the home of Don Eustaquio Méndez, one of the leaders of Bolivia's independence and who gave his name to the region.
Then, we'll arrive at a local hacienda specializing in the breeding and care of horses. After welcoming us, the workers will accompany us on a tour of the hacienda to see the stables and equine training areas.
Afterwards, we'll attend a demonstration of the basic techniques of how to ride horses. Once you've learned how to handle and properly ride these animals, we'll get started! You'll see how relaxing their firm yet calm pace is while you take in the scenery around you.
As we ride, a photographer will take pictures of us so that we can focus on enjoying the experience instead of documenting it! You'll be able to take the photos home with you in digital format as a souvenir.
Next, on the way back, we'll have a tasting of masitas and alojas de cebada, typical cakes from this area of Bolivia, accompanied by a fruit drink. Delicious!
Finally, we'll take the bus back to Tarija, where we'll arrive 4-5 hours after pickup.
Pickup
The tour includes pickup from hotels in the center of Tarija. If your accommodation is outside this area, you'll have to go to the meeting point located on Bolivar street.
