6-day Bolivia Hiking Tour

Day 1

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Tarija at 6 am and set off towards the Tariquía National Reserve for an unforgettable 6-day tour. We'll explore this natural area that occupies part of the southeastern part of the region of Tarija. After a two-hour drive, we'll arrive at Abra de la Hondura and from here we'll begin our first hike of the trip.

We'll cross rivers and canyons, and arrive at the Cerro de la Escalera viewpoint, where we'll get great views of the town of Patanchada in the distance, located in the middle of a nature reserve. Finally, we'll arrive at the community of San José, where we'll set up camp for the night.

Day 2

After breakfast, we'll resume our hike heading towards the viewpoint of Abra Potrerillo, where we can rest and have lunch. Then we'll continue walking and admiring the rivers and mountains until we reach the town of Abra Potrerillo, where you'll have the rest of the day free to do optional activities, such as horseback riding.

Day 3

We'll have breakfast and again set off on foot toward the town of Motoví. This small village is famous for its Piedra Ombliguda, a curious natural formation that looks like a belly button!

The rest of the day will be spent touring Motoví and learning about its myths and legends, before heading to rest for the next day.

Day 4

On the fourth day, after breakfast, we'll leave for the community of La Cueva, a place formerly inhabited by Guarani people that has a fascinating history which we'll learn all about once we get there. We'll spend the day touring the area surrounding this mysterious locality, and at night we'll again set up camp and sleep in the tents.

Day 5

On the second to last day, we'll have breakfast and head towards Cambarí, a spectacular natural area where you'll have the opportunity to observe the local wildlife. This area belongs to the Tariquía National Reserve and is the habitat of conservation species such as the taruca or Andean deer, the jukumari bear, and the military parrot.

Day 6
