Carara National Park Hike
Activity Details
Calling all lovers of exotic nature! After meeting at the indicated time at the main entrance to Carara National Park, we'll give you an introduction to the hiking route through one of the best conserved natural enclaves in Costa Rica. Tie up your laces, it's time to go!
We'll set off on our hike crossing Carara Park, a natural treasure thanks to its location—did you know that it's located right at the transition between the dry forest and the tropical rainforest of the Central Pacific?
During the walk, we'll learn how the park is home to more than 400 species of birds, including the scarlet macaw. Undoubtedly, one of the highlights of the route will be to see them flying freely among the trees. This reserve is a real paradise for ornithology lovers.
We'll explain the particularities and importance of the Carara National Park, as it's located in a transition zone that provides it with different ecosystems. We'll take the necessary time to take a close look at the natural life that we'll find on our way and talk about it.
Finally, after 3 hours of walking, we'll arrive at the initial meeting point and the hiking route will come to an end.
