Segway Tour of Taormina
We'll meet at your selected time on the terrace located on top of the Porta Catania car park, where we'll get the segways ready to start this unique guided tour of Taormina.
Before we start, we'll learn how to handle the segways so we can follow the guide and enjoy the tour without any difficulty. Afterwards, the segway tour will take us through the arch of Porta Catania to the historical centre. We'll pass through the main avenues and squares of the city, including Piazza Duomo, where we'll see the Cathedral of St. Nicholas, the Town Hall and the Centaura fountain, one of the symbols of Taormina.
We'll also take the segway to the Monastery of San Domenico, which has recently been transformed into a luxurious hotel belonging to one of the most prestigious hotel chains in the world.
From here we'll take Via Roma to reach the Villa Comunale, a park with lush gardens overlooking the sea. Nearby are the ruins of the iconic ancient Greco-Roman theatre, where the Taormina Film Festival is held.
On the journey back to Porta Catania, we'll cross Corso Umberto and Porta di Mezzo, passing through Piazza IX Aprile, which is noted for its lively atmosphere thanks to its charming cafés and shops.
Finally, we'll say goodbye back at the meeting point after a three hour segway tour of Taormina.
