Tour Details
We'll pick you up at the time indicated from your hotel in Taormina and head to our first stop: Savoca. This is where the young American Michael Corleone reconnected with his Sicilian roots. Let's explore!
This Italian town was chosen by Francis Ford Coppola as one of the main locations for the filming of The Godfather. Upon arrival, we'll take a tour of the unmistakable filming locations and the key moments that made this one of the most important pieces of cinema.
We'll remind ourselves of the history of the Sicilian mafia, both the fictional story of the Corleone family as well as the real one. One of the sites that we'll see will be the famous St. Nicholas Church, where Michael and Apollonia's wedding was held. Do you remember? Additionally, we'll visit Bar Vitelli, where you can sit on the same seat that Al Pacino occupied at the bar.
Then, we'll stop at Forza d'Agro where we'll visit its incredible cathedral. Ready for a break? We'll give you some free time to enjoy a coffee from a traditional Italian cafe.
Finally, we'll call an end to this tour of The Godfather filming locations after 5 hours and return to your hotel in Taormina.
