At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Lalla Abla Mosque to begin this guided tour of the city of Tangier. Ready to explore this beautiful city? Let's go!
After admiring the beautiful façade of the mosque, where we'll explain the history and curiosities of this emblematic place, we'll start walking and go to the first wall of the Kasbah, to discover its historical and cultural context.
Then, we'll visit the impressive Hôtel Continental and its museum, in the heart of Tangier's Medina. This building dates back to the end of the 19th century and within its rooms, we'll be able to discover the Muslim and European styles for which it's so famous. Did you know that some scenes from El tiempo entre costuras were filmed there?
Afterwards, we'll make our way towards the Small Souk, a square full of life and history. From there, we'll head to the old Spanish residential area and visit the Al-Batuta Cemetery, a spot which offers a unique perspective of the history of Tangier.
On the final stretch of the tour, we'll pass through the French part of the city, where we'll find the French Consulate and the famous Grand Café de Paris. Finally, we'll pass Mendoubia Park and the Notre Dame Cathedral.
Finally, we'll say our goodbyes in front of the Saint Andrew's Church after 3 hours together.
