Tampere Private Tour
Tampere Private Tour
At 2 pm, we'll gather at the Tampere train station to start a private tour in English of all the must-see locations in this city nestled between the lakes Näsijärvi and Pyhäjärvi. Let's explore Tampere!
Our first destination will be the city center, where we'll discover the many industrial buildings that are scattered throughout Tampere. The guide will reveal some of the secrets of this Finnish town, including its industrial past and its relevance as a major cultural center.
Next, we'll continue this private tour with a visit to the rapids of the Tammerkoski River, which blend in perfectly with the beautiful skyline of Tampere. Another place that will definitely catch your attention will be the Finlayson factory, a 14th-century building that now houses a museum detailing the industrial past of this region.
During the walking tour of this town, we'll also visit the Kauppahalli Central Market, the Pyynikki Tower, and the working-class neighborhood of Píspala, full of wooden and colorful houses concealing memories of conflict during the Civil War in 1917.
Lastly, we'll head back to the starting point, ending the tour at 5 pm.
