Tallinn Bike Tour
Tallinn Bike Tour
At the selected time, we'll meet on Vene Street and start our bike tour around Tallinn, during which we'll discover the most important monuments in the Estonian capital.
Our guide will explain some safety measures we'll need to follow and hand out the helmets. Once we feel ready, it'll be time to hop on our bikes and start an 8-mile (13 kilometre) tour of Tallinn.
The first stop on our tour will be at Kadriorg Palace. While we admire its magnificent façade, we'll discuss the history and important details of this Petrine Baroque building, which houses an art gallery.
Next, we'll arrive at the Estonian Song Festival Auditorium, which has a capacity for 75,000 people. We'll discuss how how this place has long been the venue for large-scale concerts, such as the Estonian Song Festival once every five years.
Afterwards, we'll cycle to the Maarjamäe Memorial on Pirita Beach. This memorial commemorates the lives of the Soviet troops who died in 1918. Here, we'll discuss the impact of World Wars I and II on Estonia.
We'll then reach the seafront promenade, where we'll finish the tour after three hours.
