20-Minute Tour
If you don't have much time in the city, this 20-minute tour will allow you to get to know the main parts of the historic centre of Takayama. We'll walk through charming streets where the oldest houses date back to the 17th century.
We'll admire the facade of the Takayama Jinya, which was the residence of the governor of the province, and we'll cross the Miyagawa river through the famous red bridge, known as Nakabashi, where we'll conclude the tour.
45-Minute Tour
If you want to extend your visit, with this option we'll visit the old town of Takayama and also further explore the spirituality of the Japanese culture visiting the Yamazakura sanctuary. We'll breathe in the tranquillity of this place and learn about its history. We'll say goodbye outside the temple after our 45 minutes guided tour.
70-Minute Tour
The historical centre, Yamazakura Shrine and Hida Kokubun-ji Temple - the 70 minute tour is the most complete option! In addition to the visits of the previous tours, we'll explore the most famous temple of the city. You'll be surprised by this three-storey pagoda and the great ginkgo tree. Did you know that this thousand-year-old tree is considered a natural monument in Japan?
We'll finish the tour outside Hida Kokubun-ji Temple.
