At the appointed time, we'll pick you up at Shuanglian subway station to start a fantastic night tour of Taipei. Are you ready to immerse yourself in the magic of Taiwan's capital?
First up, we'll go to the Taipei 101 skyscraper, a building over 500 meters (1,640 ft) high covered with blue-green glass, built according to feng shui! If you feel like it, you can go up to its observation deck to discover the view from the top.
Next, we'll arrive at the Chiang Kai-shek National Memorial Hall, a monument erected in honor of one of the former presidents of the Republic of China; its gardens are beautiful at night!
From here, we'll head to the Ningxia night market, a favorite among locals. As we walk among its illuminated stalls, we'll learn about the key ingredients of Taiwanese cuisine. Did you know that this market has more than 60 years of history and was an important meeting point in the post-war period?
Afterward, we'll visit the Shuanglian shopping district. There, we'll enter another night market, this time located in one of the most authentic places in the city. Here, the locals do their daily shopping. Here, we'll find everything from clothes to spices amidst a feast of aromas and flavors.
Next stop? Wen Chang Temple in Zhongshan district. While contemplating its illumination at night, we'll review its past linked to the god of literature and studies. We'll discover its intricate engravings and marvel at its tranquility, a contrast to the energy of the city!
Finally, we'll head back to the initial meeting point, where we'll conclude the night after 3.5 hours of activity.
