As we arrive, we'll kick off the visit to Yehliu, a geological park renowned for its extraordinary rock formations that spark the imagination. After visiting Yehliu, we'll head into the mountains to discover the Shifen Waterfall, nicknamed the Little Niagara of Taiwan. As our journey continues, we arrive at the charming town of Jiufen. Nestled into the mountainside, it treats us to stunning views of the Pacific coast. Jiufen boasts a bustling market on its main street, where you can indulge in various local delicacies. How about trying some pineapple candy or savoring a delectable meat and rice dumpling, the choices are endless!
Jiufen will include visits to the workshops of skilled artisans who have made this town their home. Additionally, you'll be able to explore the traditional tea houses tucked away in the labyrinth of alleys adorned with red lanterns. For Studio Ghibli enthusiasts, this village may evoke the feeling of being in a Hayao Miyazaki movie, as it inspired his iconic film, Spirited Away.
