Southern Highlands Kangaroo & Wombat Tour
Description
If you're in Sydney and haven't yet met Australia's most famous inhabitants, let's go and see kangaroos and wombats in the wild! To do this, we'll meet at the meeting point of your choice at the indicated time and head south. National parks, breathtaking waterfalls, and lots of local wildlife are waiting for you.
Our route will take us south along one of Australia's most beautiful roads, continuing our journey through the Australian outback to see one of the country's great natural spectacles, the Fitzroy Falls. We'll see water cascading from over 80 metres (262 ft) up!
Located in Morton National Park, these impressive waterfalls slide down enormous orange sandstone cliffs, creating an enchanting sight to behold. While strolling through this terrain, you'll also have the opportunity to see the different types of birds that fly over the area around Fitzroy Falls.
Another stop of the day will be at Carrington Falls in Budderoo National Park. Eucalyptus forests, a 90-metre (295-foot) drop and a wealth of local flora and fauna await you in this Australian park.
To round off the day, we'll head into Kangaroo Valley, located in the Southern Highlands to see the friendly wombats and kangaroos in the wild. We'll learn about these typical Australian animals while enjoying a barbecue lunch or a picnic, depending on availability. You'll also have free time to explore the area and say hello to these beautiful animals.
Finally, we'll return to the starting point and end the excursion after between 10 and 10.5 hours of activity.
