Sydney Food Tour
Description
At the scheduled time, we'll meet on the iconic Oxford Street, and begin this tasty tour of one of Australia's liveliest and most fun cities.
This tour will be based mainly around the wonderful area of Sydney, Oxford Street, and the nearby local district of Surry Hills. We'll discover an area that's full of stunning architecture, independent shops and fresh produce stores. Perfect for purchasing delicious ingredients! We'll also learn about the post-war immigration era in Australia from countries like Greece, Italy and Portugal. Evidence of this period is scattered all around the Oxford Street and Surry Hills area.
As we explore the area, we'll try some of Sydney's most delicious dishes, allowing us to gain a better understanding of the culture and history of this amazing country and city.
The following are just some of the dishes we'll try:
- Sydney rock oysters
- Veal & Chorizo sausage roll
- Greek honey biscuits
- Fried stuffed zucchini flowers
- Butcher's choice of the day
- Surprise dish
We'll also have the opportunity to try tasty Australian ginger beer and some local wines.
After between 3 and 3.5 hours, this tour will come to an end in the Surry Hills neighbourhood. The guide will be able to give you recommendations to continue exploring, as well as directions to the nearest bus or to Oxford Street.
