Tour of Suva
Tour of Suva
After picking you up from your selected meeting point in Suva, we'll climb aboard our vehicle for an immersive sightseeing tour around the capital city of Fiji. Buckle up!
First up on the itinerary, we'll enjoy a calm drive through the capital city's suburbs. Take in the colonial-style buildings. We'll pause in front of the Great Council of Chiefs' complex and the Parliament House, both serving as an excellent backdrop for great photos! Plus, here, along the outskirts of the city, we'll enjoy a fire walking show, a sacred tradition on the island! Following the excitement, we'll head back into town to visit the Museum of Fiji, making a few pitstops along the way for photos of course.
This cultural institution has changed locations several times since its foundation in 1904 but now permanently resides in Thurston Gardens. Within the museum, we'll be treated to several exhibits detailing significant moments throughout Fijian history. For example, we'll see installations narrating the storied past of cannibalism alongside ancient pottery artifacts on the island. Did you know that the the centerpiece of the museum is a 13-meter-long (42-foot) double-hulled canoe?
Once we've finished our visit, for the last part of the tour, we'll have free time to check out the local shops. This the perfect time to speak with the vendors about their day to day lives grab yourself a souvenir.
After between 3 and 4 hours exploring Suva, we'll return to the starting point.
