Day 1
At 9 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Sucre and take you to the village of Yamparáez. After a 1-hour journey, we'll get to this Bolivian town in which almost all the residents are of Quechua origin. They wear the typical dress of their culture and have preserved the deep-rooted customs of the Yampara Indigenous community.
In Yamparáez, we'll learn how the community lives through agriculture and the production of handmade textiles. We'll meet the locals with Daysi, who'll welcome us and share her family's daily routine with us.
We'll help the family make a typical lunch and then share the meal together, which will consist of a starter, a main course and a drink. Next, we'll take a walk through the hills that surround Yamparáez before returning to the village to have dinner and spend the night in the home of Daysi and her family.
Day 2
Good morning! We'll have breakfast and spend the morning learning about some of the community's most important traditions, such as textile arts and music. The people who live in Yamparáez play instruments they've made with reeds and other natural elements. We'll listen to the beautiful melodies being played before having lunch and returning to Sucre. You'll be dropped off back at your hotel at around 3:30 pm.
