Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll meet at Place Gutenberg to start this guided tour of Strasbourg. Let's go!

First, we'll head to the Strasbourg Cathedral to discover the history of this impressive monument. Did you know that it's one of the oldest Gothic cathedrals in the world?

Before entering, we'll direct our gaze to the facade of the cathedral. The Strasbourg Cathedral stands out because of its well-preserved, hundreds of sculptures. You'll also see its enormous tower that reaches 465 feet (142 meters) high! We'll explain how it was constructed over the centuries and interesting facts about its architecture.

Then, we'll enter the cathedral and immediately be captivated by its design. The building, which took more than 400 years to build, never fails to amaze visitors with its stained-glass windows, its organ, and its grand size.

We'll also learn about the history of its astronomical clock, a real masterpiece of the 16th century full of symbolism and legends!

Continuing our tour, we'll pass through the center's alleyways and the neighborhood of Petite France, as well as the iconic canals that characterize the capital of Alsace.

Here, we'll notice the blend of French and German architecture as we tell you Strasbourg's complex history in depth. Did you know that it was the location for many conflicts and that it then became a symbol of peace in Europe? We'll tell you all about it during the tour!

After 2 hours of exploring, our guided tour of Strasbourg and its cathedral will come to an end.
