Enjoy a boat trip along the Djurgården canal. You will sail through an island full of parks and forests, enjoying the landscape of one of the greenest areas of Stockholm.
Itinerary
We will depart from the Strömkajen pier and head east. Leaving the city centre behind us, we will explore this Royal Canal that crosses the island of Djurgården.
The island has belonged to the Royal Family since the fifteenth century and has been preserved as a tranquil, green haven on the edge of the capital. The Royal Canal was constructed in 1834 commissioned by the Swedish king to improve access to the various parts of the island.
During the boat trip along the Djurgården Royal Canal we will enjoy views of one of the most peaceful and pleasant areas of Stockholm. Thanks to the audioguides available in 11 languages, you will hear details about the buildings and monuments that we pass on this cruise along the Djurgården canal. On the island there are parks and museums such as, Skansen and Vasa, boat wharfs, and lakes inhabited by herons and owls.
After one hour and 10 minutes enjoying the peace that emanates from this hidden corner far from the hustle and bustle of Stockholm, we will return to the Strömkajen pier.
