Pitas Artisan Centre Visit
Description
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the entrance to the Pitas Artisan Centre, a perfect spot to discover the artistic and cultural essence of Sorbas. Ready? Let's go!
Once we've all met up together, we'll delve into the incredible world of Agave wood, a material used during this workshop to make, among other things, musical instruments. Firstly, we'll see the Museum of Unique Instruments, where there's an extensive collection made from this exotic wood. What's not to love?
Afterwards, we'll continue the tour of the workshop by discovering the different cultures from around the world through the sounds. African and Andalusian rhythms will sound through these unusual musical instruments. Amazing!
The following part of the tour will be dedicated to learning about the production process of how these agave wooden handicrafts are made. We'll discover how they come to life through them being carved.
Lastly, we'll take part in this wonderful art by making our own piece under the expert's watchful eye. With this, we'll be able to take away our own handmade souvenirs from the Pitas Artisan Centre.
After 2 hours together, we'll say our goodbyes and bring this tour to an end.
