On this guided tour of Can Det and its oil mill, we'll explore the various rooms within this grand estate and uncover the hidden secrets of olive oil production in the Tramontana mountain range, an essential experience in Sóller!

What to expect

Meet us at Can Det, on the outskirts of Soller, to explore this historic manor house over 400 years old!

Travel back in time to the 16th century, and delve into the origins of the Can Det lineage, unveiling their enduring connection to the cultivation of oil and citrus fruits.

Throughout our visit, we'll explore various rooms of the house, ranging from the garden to the living room, extending to the fully restored and modernized oil mill. As we progress, we'll discuss in depth the process of cultivating and processing this "liquid gold" within each room while also examining the significant role this place plays for farmers in the Tramontana mountain region.

Then, to culminate the tour, we'll participate in olive oil tasting accompanied by fresh orange juice and a few small aperitifs like olives and cheese for a delicious and well-rounded experience!

After an informative 1 hour tour, we'll bring the activity to an end.
