Private Tour of Kosovo
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Skopje at 9 am and head north to Kosovo. After about an hour and a half drive, we'll reach Pristina, the capital and largest city of Kosovo.
The tour of Pristina will start by admiring one of its most emblematic buildings, the National Library of Kosovo. This truly unique building is made up of 99 transparent domes and has a metal lattice covering the entire exterior.
Next to the library, we'll see the Church of Christ the Savior, located on the campus of the University of Pristina, whose construction was interrupted by the Kosovo conflict. We'll then continue the guided tour with the statue of Mother Teresa and learn why the Albanian and Kosovar people admire it so much. We'll also pass by another icon of the city, the statue of Gjergj Kastrioti, a nobleman who rebelled against the Ottomans and much more!
To finish our tour of Pristina, we'll go to see the Carshia Mosque, the Emin Gjiku complex, the statue of Bill Clinton, and the famous Hillary store, all places that will help us understand the many tributes that Kosovo pays to the United States.
Then, we'll leave Pristina and head to the Gracanica Monastery, declared a World Heritage Site. This religious complex is one of the masterpieces of the Middle Ages in the Balkans.
And finally, we'll head to Prizren, considered the most beautiful city in Kosovo. Its bridge over the Bistrica River and the Sinan Pasha Mosque are two of its main attractions. After touring the many Ottoman buildings in Prizren, you'll have an hour of free time to have lunch on your own in a local restaurant.
We'll end the excursion to Kosovo by dropping you back off at your hotel in Skopje at approximately 8 pm.
