Skopje Walking Tour
Tour Details
At the established time, we'll meet at Macedonia Square, where we'll kick off this guided tour of Skopje. Are you ready to see the most emblematic spots in the capital of North Macedonia?
First, we'll take a look at the statue that overlooks the square as we go through a brief historical intro of the key moments that have shaped this vibrant city. Do you know who is portrayed in this sculpture? We'll find out! From here, we'll start strolling along the streets of the city until we reach the Mother Teresa Memorial House.
Our next stop will be in front of the Macedonian Archaeological Museum, one of the most important museums in Skopje. In addition to housing an amazing collection, its facade is truly breathtaking, as well as the panoramic view of the Vardar River and the Stone Bridge from this spot.
We'll continue our tour of Skopje at the Park of the Fighting Woman, just a few meters from the famous Triumphal Arch. Who does this beautiful green space pay tribute to? In addition, we'll visit Kapan Han and Suli Han, two of the historic inns of the old bazaar.
Finally, we'll approach the Skopje Fortress, built in the 6th century, which has bore witness to the numerous battles that the city has endured.
The tour will conclude back at the starting point after two - two and a half hours of sightseeing. See you next time!
