Mamma Mia, here we go again... If you've always dreamed of visiting the island where Mamma Mia was filmed, this tour of Skopelos is calling your name!
Skopelos Mamma Mia Tour
How many times have you seen the film Mamma Mia? Ever wondered where Donna Sheridan and her daughter Sophie live? If your dream is to visit the fictional island of Kalokeri, just come to Dolphin of Skopelos at the indicated time and we'll start our tour through the sets of Mamma Mia!
The Greek island of Skopelos quickly rose to fame after appearing on the big screen as Kalokeri, a dreamy oasis in the Aegean Sea and setting of the musical starring Meryl Streep, Amanda Seyfried, Pierce Brosnan, and Colin Firth. Believe it or not, this place actually exists, and we're about to discover it!
First, we'll head to the Chapel of Agios Ioannis, also known as the Chapel of St. John, the church where the wedding in the film takes place. We'll climb its 199 steps to reach the top, which boasts breathtaking views of the island and the sea. Of course, we'll reveal some of the most peculiar anecdotes about the filming of the popular musical.
Afterward, we'll visit Kastani Beach, hands down one of Skopelos' most beautiful beaches. Starring the contrast between the intense turquoise blue of the sea and the green of its pine forests, this cove will take you directly to the paradise captured in Mamma Mia. Did you know that the longest scene of the film was shot here? While we're here, you'll have time to go for a refreshing swim and feel just like Sophie in the calm Greek waters.
To complete our route through Skopelos, we'll head to the beach of Agnontas, one of the most important ports on the island. In addition to reviewing the movie scene filmed in this port, you'll have free time to swim and have lunch in a local restaurant.
Finally, we'll return to the starting point to conclude the Mamma Mia tour after a total of 6hours of sightseeing.
