With this ticket to the Quinta da Regaleira, you'll visit this great architectural jewel of Sintra following the explanations of an audio guide in English.
Visit the Quinta da Regaleira
Located just a short walk from the historic centre of Sintra, the Quinta da Regaleira is a beautiful palace listed as a World Heritage Site.
This ticket to Quinta da Regaleira includes an audio guide in English that will allow you to discover the secrets of this building, commissioned at the end of the 19th century by António Augusto de Carvalho Monteiro. This wealthy Brazilian-born figure ordered the construction of a unique house, which combines Romanesque, Gothic and Manueline styles.
Among its main attractions is its enigmatic initiation well, an inexhaustible source of a multitude of mysteries and legends. The Torre da Regaleira tower and the chapel of the Holy Trinity, built in white stone in the Manueline style, also stand out.
The Italian architect and set designer Luigi Manini captured the eccentricities, cultural concerns and secrets of Carvalho Monteiro in the Quinta da Regaleira. For this reason, you should pay close attention to the layout of the rooms, where certain details go unnoticed. The audio guide will help you to better appreciate the decoration that is often overlooked.
You should also take a stroll through the gardens of the Quinta da Regaleira, from where you'll be able to enjoy magnificent views of the exterior of the palace.
Please note that the total duration of the audio-guided tour is estimated at one hour and 20 minutes.
