Let yourself be captivated by the legendary history and magnificent architecture of Banteay Srei, Preah Khan and other ancient Angkor Temples on this day trip from Siemp Reap.
Banteay Srei & Preah Khan Temples Tour Itinerary
Having been picked up from your hotel in Siem Reap, you'll head out to the north of the city, in the direction of the Angkor archaeological site. This iconic ancient city, a designated World Heritage Site, is home to numerous historic monuments that will leave you speechless at their ornate architecture.
Begin your tour visiting one of the complex's best-preserved structures: the Hindu temple of Pre Rup. Can you guess the origins of this holy place, dedicated to the god Shiva?
Continue your guided tour to the beautiful Banteay Srei temple. Considered a jewel of Khmer art, this architectural marvel stands out for the incredibly detailed wall carvings which decorate its red sandstone. The sculptures represent mythical creatures, sacred figures and religious tales, and they make this temple one of the highlights of Angkor.
Following a brief period of free time, where you can eat lunch (not included), the afternoon will be spent exploring more of Angkor's majestic sanctuaries, including the temples of Preah Khan, which is slowly being taken over by the surrounding jungle; Ta Som, a shrine that is now almost more tree roots than building; and Mebon. Discover their fascinating history as you visit each magical ruin!
At the end of your guided temple tour, you'll head back to Siem Reap, where you'll be dropped off at your hotel.
