Lose yourself in the magic of seeing the incredible Angkor temples at sunrise or sunset. Discover the jewel of Cambodia at the most captivating times of day, for a memory you'll never forget.

Angkor Wat Tour

When making your reservation, you'll have the choice between the 2 following options:

Sunrise Tour (7 hours)

After being picked up from your hotel first thing in the morning, you'll head in the direction of Angkor, the former capital of the Khmer Empire, one of Cambodia's architectural wonders, and the world's largest complex of religious buildings.

On arrival and after purchasing your entrance tickets, you'll head into the ancient city for an experience you won't easily forget. Firstly, your guide will take you to Angkor Wat, the country's best-known temple and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which is considered to be the biggest religious monument in the world. The 12th-century temple is an incredible place to watch the sunrise. It faces west, so its dramatic spires are lit up from behind by the breathtaking colours of the sky as dawn breaks.

You'll also visit the temples of Bayon, famous for their exquisitely-carved bas-reliefs, and Ta Prohm, a crumbling stone sanctuary that has been taken over by the roots and branches of the overgrowing jungle surrounding it. You might recognise it from scenes in Tomb Raider!

Sunset Tour (10 hours)

If you'd prefer to visit the temples of Angkor at sunset instead, your pickup time will be slightly later in the morning.

Your guide will take you to the most important ruins of the ancient megacity, keeping you entertained with stories of its fascinating history. Explore Angkor Wat, the most famous of them all, and the only temple to have remained a practicing place of worship since the complex's abandonment. See if you can spot Buddhist monks meditating around the historic site...

You'll also visit Bayon and Ta Prohm temples, both of which belong to the Angkor Thom architectural complex, which was the final residence of the Khmer royals before the empire's downfall. At the end of the day, you'll head up to the hilltop temple mountain of Phnom Bakheng, the ideal vantage point from which to watch the sunset. Marvel as the last rays of sun illuminate this mystical place.

Pickup Time

Depending on the tour selected, you'll be picked up from your hotel at the following times:

  • Sunrise tour: pickup times are between 4:20and 4:50 am
