Altinbesik Cave, Avasun and Ürünlü Tour
Altinbesik Cave, Avasun and Ürünlü Tour
At 8.30 am we will pick you up from your hotel in Side and embark on an amazing adventure to explore some of the most traditional villages in the Anatolian peninsula and one of the most incredible natural marvels in Turkey.
Our first stop will be Avasun, known as the 'laurel village'. We'll explore this small village and discover its history and the customs of its inhabitants. Then we will resume the tour and go up 1200 meters (3937 ft) above sea level to admire the unforgettable views of the Green Canyon, the Green Lake, and Manavgat.
Nearby we'll find the small village of Ürünlü, famous for its button houses. Button houses? What does this mean? What makes these houses special? Thanks to our guide, we will learn all the secrets of this Turkish village and then rest in a local café where you can have tea or coffee at your leisure.
We'll continue the tour and reach our next destination: the Altinbesik cave. There we will hop off the minibus and board a boat that will take us into this wonder of nature. Did you know that this cave is home to the largest underground lake in the country?
After a 20-minute boat ride, we will regain our strength by enjoying a full traditional meal at a restaurant in Ormana. After the delicious lunch, we will visit Sarihacilar, where we'll be able to admire an Ottoman mosque over 650 years old.
We will end the tour and drop you at the hotel in Side at 4.30 pm.
