At the appointed time we'll pick you up from your hotel in Shkodra and start our tour of the surrounding areas of the city.
First of all, we'll head to the Mesi Bridge, 3 miles (5 kilometres) from Shkodra. This viaduct built in the 18th century over the Kir river can boast of being one of the longest Ottoman bridges in the region. It connects the town of Mes with Drisht, the next stop of the day.
We'll visit this medieval town and explore the ruins of Drisht Castle, a 13th-century fortress located on a hilltop 984 feet 300 metres above sea level. Apart from the castle, we'll see the houses and archaeological remains that have been found over the years in this part of Albania and learn about its history!
Finally, we'll return to Shkodra to visit the Rozafa Castle, one of the most precious treasures of the city. There we'll learn about its history, from the Illyrian occupation until the castle was invaded by the Romans in 167 B.C. To end the tour on a high note, we'll enjoy the beautiful views from Rozafa Castle.
We'll end the tour at your hotel after three hours of sightseeing.
