At 9 am we'll pick you up from your hotel in Shiraz and head to one of the most famous waterfalls in the country: the Margoon Waterfall, located near the city of Ardakan, two hours from Shiraz.
Margoon means "snake-like" in Persian, and we'll see for ourselves how the waterfall lives up to its name as we marvel at the streams of water winding down 70 metres of rock.
We'll explore the surroundings and find out some interesting facts about this natural gem. Unlike other waterfalls, Margoon is not supplied by a river or spring: the water flows out from holes in the rock! Do you want to find out why this strange phenomenon occurs?
We'll make a stop in front of the waterfall so you can have a chance to relax and admire the landscape. We recommend bringing your own picnic.
At 3 pm we'll make our way back to Shiraz. After a two-hour return journey we'll drop you back at your hotels.
