We'll stroll through the streets of the city to remember the important events that took place here in the Golden Age.
After the discovery of the New World, Venetians, Genoese, Flemish, Germans and many other European citizens settled in Seville to start prosperous businesses in the Gateway to America. We'll reveal all the curiosities and secrets of this exciting history!
During the free tour we'll admire the Plaza del Triunfo, known by the famous triangle of Unesco, did you know that this place is home to three buildings protected as UNESCO World Heritage Sites? We'll admire the exteriors of the Archivo General de Indias, the Real Alcázar of Seville and the cathedral.
Next, we'll see the façade of the Casa de la Contratación, a key place for understanding Seville's Golden Age. Good land communications and favourable navigation on the Guadalquivir were crucial elements in making Seville the headquarters of business with America.
We'll continue walking and seeing other emblematic buildings such as the Royal Mint, the Customs House, the Church of La Caridad and the Atarazanas. We'll also approach the Guadalquivir to admire the Torre del Oro (Golden Tower) while we review the fascinating expeditions of Magellan and Elcano.
After two hours of sightseeing, the free tour will end at the Paseo Alcalde Marqués de Contadero.
