Jerez and Cadiz Day Trip
Jerez and Cadiz Day Trip
We'll meet at 9 am at your hotel to begin this trip to Cadiz bay.
The first stop will be in Jerez, a location intrinsically linked to the production of wine. Here, we'll enjoy a wine tasting in one of the local wineries, and wander around the historic centre hearing unique anecdotes about the history of flamenco, the birthplace of this art form.
After visiting Santa Maria port, we'll head to Cadiz, one of the oldest towns in all Europe. The city is known as the 'little cup of silver' due to its unusual circular shape. We'll visit the main monuments, such as the baroque cathedral, with its spectacular domes.
During the war of independence, governmental representatives met in the San Felipe Neri oratory where the 1812 constitution known as 'the seed' was created. We'll explain the importance of this historical location, which fomented a liberal text that recognised the rights of Spaniards for the first time.
In the evening you'll have free time to enjoy the beaches or take a look at the Falla Theatre, where the famous chirigotas of the Cadiz carnival.
The tour will return to Sevilla at 7 pm, leaving you at your hotel.
