Triana Free Tour
Triana Free Tour
At the indicated time, we'll meet in the heart of Seville to begin a walking tour of the famous Triana neighbourhood.
We'll start the free tour by crossing the Guadalquivir River towards the most popular neighbourhood of the Andalusian capital. Once we've entered this district of Seville, we'll travel back to its origins: did you know that it was once a neighbourhood of sailors, bullfighters and flamenco dancers?
As we walk through the lively and colourful streets, we'll admire the chapel of Los Marineros, home to the Hermandad de la Esperanza de Triana brotherhood. We'll also stop to admire the façade of the Royal Parish Church of Santa Ana, which dates back to 1276.
Of course, we'll meet some of the most famous Trianeros, including Rodrigo de Triana, who accompanied Christopher Columbus on his voyage to America. We'll also reveal who Bartolomé de las Casas was and Melchor Rodríguez García, who grew up in this traditional neighbourhood before becoming the "Red Angel" of the Spanish Civil War.
After a 2-hour tour, we'll end the free tour near the Isabel II Bridge, one of Triana's landmarks.
